Strawberry Spinach Salad


  • 2 T sesame seeds
  • 1 T poppy seeds
  • ½ c white sugar
  • ½ c olive oil
  • ¼ t paprika
  • ¼ t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T onion, minced


  • ¾ lb fresh spinach
  • 1 quart strawberries, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 ½ c fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • ¼ c almonds, blanched and slivered

In a medium bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for dressing.  Cover and chill for at least 1 hour to blend flavors.

 In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.  Pour dressing over salad* and toss.  Refrigerate for 10 – 15 minutes and serve. This salad is best served fresh.

 *Note: Rather than pour dressing over salad, it may be served on the side.  This prevents any leftovers from becoming soggy.
